Job & Career Portal
Jobseekers should be able to register their details. The minimum details mandatory are (First Name, Last Name, Desired user name, Choose a password, Re-enter password, phone number, mobile number, Date of Birth, email id, Current location, Preferred job location, Certifications, Qualification, College/Institute for the highest qualification)
Notification will be sent to the registered email address consisting of their username and password. The registration will be complete when the user clicks on the URL received through the email and logs in again.
The user should then be able to access his/her personal admin dashboard and edit the details whenever he/she wishes.
Jobseeker's Personal Admin Dashboard
- Should be able to upload and edit / update profile.
- Should be able to post resume (up to 5 resumes). The resume that is set as default should be the one accessible to the employers.
- Should be able to upload the resume in MS Word format.
- Enter details in the pre-designed form, which helps them listed in search quickly. The minimum details mandatory are (Name, Date of Birth, email id, Years and months of experience, date of joining first job, Industry, Job category, Domain, Role, Key skills, Current CTC, Expected CTC, Notice period, Nationality, Availability of Work permits/Permanent resident of different countries, Certifications, Qualification, Specialisation, College/Institute for the highest qualification).
- Add cover letters (up to 5 cover letters) and which they can use later on while applying jobs.
- They should be able to apply for the searched jobs instantly. They should be able to save the jobs and apply later on. The stored jobs will be stored in “My Saved Jobs” folder.
- Job Alerts: they should be able to subscribe to jobs for desired categories. Once they subscribe, they should receive emails whenever new jobs are posted in the categories they subscribe from this job alert which enables them to send their application for the same.
- Summary / Things to do: - When the job seekers fill up the details initially, they are allowed to continue by leaving some optional sections blank. However, they should be able to see a status dashboard showing (TICK) and (X) symbols respectively for filled up and blank sections.
- Confidentially Settings: - This module gives options to enable/disable their contact details. They should be able to set confidentiality settings in the following two ways.
1. Employer should be able to search for jobseekers resumes and all the details with the job seeker holding the right to mask name and contact information. However the employers should be able to send email to such job seeker through a link provided by the portal.
2. Job seekers should also have an option to upload resumes without allowing any sort of access to the employer. Their resumes will not be appearing through the search facility. However, they can apply for any number of jobs available by clicking on the job code and pressing the submit button.
- Default applications settings: The jobseekers should be able to set their resumes and covering letters to default from their uploaded list of resumes and covering letters (up to 5 they create in the site) which they will use while applying for jobs. The default resume and covering letter will then be sent to respective employer /consultants whenever jobseekers apply for jobs. Even during the search by the employers, the default resume is the one that should be visible to the employers.
Employers
- Registration with latest validation facilities. To prevent misuse of the company login, some token amount will be charged even during free introductory period just to capture valid credit card information.
- Personal admin area accessible through login. (Should be able to edit profile, change password etc.)
Screening Manager:
It is the most powerful tool/module developed in order to evaluate candidates and help them in screening process.
Once jobseekers apply for the posted job it goes to screening manager’s unprocessed folders and remains there until employer sends further instructions. They can then process the candidates’ CV’s to pre-screen, short list, hire, disqualify , reject, and retain in future reference folders depending on their needs /requirements.
Once they do the above, an e-mail will be sent to respective candidates intimating them about the actions taken by the employer for their applied jobs.
Membership plans for employers
There are different levels of membership plans which are assigned by the site admin. Initially after registering, the employers will be automatically assigned free membership for a limited period with all the privileges of free membership plan assigned by the admin.
They can at any time upgrade this free membership plan to any of the plans given by the site admin. They can either pay the membership plan fee either through online banking called “PayPal” or to the account details furnished by the site admin.
The details of the membership like type, subscribed date, expiry date, privileges etc. from employer’s home page or left menu of their home page.
An e-mail about their upgraded membership plans will be mailed to employer.
Job Posting
Posting and managing jobs:
- Employers should be able to post their job requirements from job posting module with complete details.
- Should also be able to set scheduled interview date, expiry date, candidate gender, career level, job role, qualifications etc.
- Should be able to set filter criteria which enables employers to receive the resumes from candidates matching their posted job criteria.
- They should be able to select acknowledgement and rejection letters from the list of sample letters for sending e-mails to candidates while applying.
- They should be able to hide and unhide their contact information.
Counseling services:
Option should be made available for a job seeker to seek counseling. A single multi line text box should be provided and the message should reach the portal email id when submit button is pressed. It should be mentioned that the free counseling service is an initial introductory service for a limited period.
Guidance to the employers:
If the employer login is used by the third party consultants who may have limited technical knowledge to identify suitable profiles, they can submit the Job Description and seek guidance. It should be mentioned that the free employer guidance service is an initial introductory service for a limited period.
